Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were injured.

The assaults follow evenings of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to detect.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated utility staff and authorities were anticipating more assaults.
